About the Role: 

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll play a critical role by coordinating warehouse operations, leading a team of employees, and ensuring the safe and efficient shipping and receiving of inventory. You’ll work closely with Purchasing, Sales, and Transportation teams to optimize space, meet customer demands, and maintain a high standard of safety and organization. This is your chance to lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team in a dynamic warehouse setting.

• Team Leadership: Direct and supervise warehouse employees to meet customer demands. Coach for performance improvement and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Safety First: Conduct monthly safety inspections, implement and review safety protocols, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory loss prevention programs, including cycle counts, and ensure stock is organized for maximum efficiency.
• Customer Focus: Build strong relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries by collaborating with Transportation personnel.
• Continuous Improvement: Maintain 6S efforts in the warehouse, coach employees on 6S principles, and apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes.
• Operational Excellence: Communicate with the Maintenance team for repairs, ensure availability of warehouse consumables, and manage daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Union Collaboration: Work effectively and professionally with union leadership, ensuring alignment with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
• Employee Engagement: Drive the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
• Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
• Inclusion: Instill an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner.

Education:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).

Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in inventory management.
• At least 2 years of experience leading, coaching, and supervising a team.
• Experience in union environments is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards, warehouse procedures, and 6S principles.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and forklift operation/safety.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and active listening skills.
• Flexibility to work additional hours, including mandatory overtime, and travel 10-15% of the time.
