About the Role: 

 

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety professional to lead our plant’s safety initiatives. In this role, you’ll provide leadership, direction, and expertise to ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations while driving best practices to improve operations. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things health and safety, making a tangible difference in the lives of our employees and the success of our plant.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead health and safety training programs and audits to empower our workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and serve as the primary contact during inspections and investigations.
  • Collaborate with HR to manage Workers’ Compensation cases and ensure timely reporting and documentation.
  • Oversee accident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Provide actionable insights and performance metrics to management to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date health and safety programs, records, and compliance documentation.
  • Partner with the Environmental team to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Manage industrial hygiene programs, PPE standards, and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) compliance.
  • Drives the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
  • Instills an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, Business or related field preferred; or equivalent experience

 

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience with occupational health and safety regulations and 5 years in an industrial manufacturing environment.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in OSHA regulations, industrial hygiene, and hazard communication.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to educate, motivate, and inspire others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and project management.
  • A self-driven, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to travel up to 10%.
