About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Superintendent to oversee and direct all operations for our production lines, from raw materials to finished goods. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure the safe production of high-quality products in alignment with established standards. Acting as the main point of contact in the absence of the Production Manager, you will lead and mentor the workforce, drive continuous improvement, and uphold Knauf’s core values.

• Safety Leadership: Embody, model, and ensure safety throughout the site, maintaining compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, Energy, and Quality standards.

• Team Management:
  • Drives the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
  • Instill an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner.

• Daily Operations:
  • Lead daily shift communication meetings with off-going and on-coming shift leadership teams.
  • Review production schedules, assign tasks, and adjust schedules as needed to meet priorities.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance for repairs or troubleshooting.

• Employee Development:
  • Provide performance feedback, conduct formal evaluations, and mentor employees for succession planning.
  • Participate in the hiring process and communicate staffing needs.

• Continuous Improvement:
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by bringing fresh ideas and participating in solution-finding initiatives.
  • Lead root cause investigations for safety and other operational topics.

• Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate employee timecards and payroll activities.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork and ensure proper record-keeping for the shift.
  • Audit standard work and 6S practices for all on shift.

• Communication: Successfully communicate and escalate issues as appropriate to various levels within the organization.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred.
• Lean Certification preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5-8 years of production experience in an industrial manufacturing facility.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a similar environment.
