About the Role: 

 

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities

  • Champion Safety: Lead by example, using safe work practices and ensuring compliance with lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Keep Us Running: Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Prioritize Like a Pro: Assess and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks to keep operations on track.
  • Be a Problem Solver: Identify when machines need to be taken out of production for repairs and take action to resolve issues quickly.
  • Stay Organized: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Collaborate Across Shifts: Communicate maintenance issues effectively with other shifts and document updates in logbooks.
  • Be Flexible: Be ready to work mandatory overtime and occasionally cover shifts outside your regular schedule.
  • Contribute to Excellence: Participate in safety meetings, stay informed on plant updates, and take on additional projects as needed.

Qualifications

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated individual with the following qualifications:

 

Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems is required.

 

Experience: Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a production or manufacturing environment.

 

Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including the ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
    • Familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics (a plus).

Certifications: Electrical and mechanical certifications/licenses are a plus. Must be able to obtain and maintain an OSHA Certified Industrial Truck Operator License.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
