Summary of Position: 

 

Step into a dynamic role where you’ll be at the heart of driving operational excellence across all our plants! As an MRP leader, you’ll orchestrate the perfect balance between customer demands and production schedules, ensuring seamless operations while hitting inventory targets. Collaborate with diverse teams and strategize innovative solutions that align with our company’s bold aspirations.

 

This role isn’t just about planning—it’s about leading. You’ll travel to our plants, fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork, and work closely with the supply planning team to achieve ambitious goals. With direct reports under your guidance, you’ll have the chance to inspire, mentor, and shape the future of the department.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and inspire a team of central MRP Controllers, providing ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline processes, eliminate obstacles, and drive efficiency.
  • Act as the voice of MRP in key meetings, ensuring clear and effective two-way communication with other departments.

Production Excellence

  • Design and implement production scheduling strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize material shortages.
  • Monitor market trends and fluctuations, guiding MRP Controllers in proactive and effective planning.
  • Step in to manage production scheduling during peak seasons, ensuring seamless operations.

Inventory Optimization

  • Develop and refine inventory profiles tailored to SKU, location, and customer needs, ensuring optimal stock levels and availability.

Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain and optimize MRP data setpoints within the ERP system for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support the integration of cutting-edge supply chain management (SCM) software.
  • Champion the use of data management systems to enhance MRP processes and decision-making.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • APICS Certification is highly preferred and a strong asset.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in production and scheduling within a similar industry.
  • At least 3 years of proven management or supervisory experience, showcasing your ability to lead and inspire teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial procedures, production planning, and inventory control.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and efficiently.
  • A natural leader with the ability to coach, mentor, and inspire others to achieve their best.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 5-10% of the time.
