Summary of Position:

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and guide employees in safe work practices by understanding and ensuring compliance with lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Calibrate, track, and document equipment in alignment with ISO standards outlined in the Quality Systems calibration manuals.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot critical plant systems, including weight gage systems, glass pull systems, position control valves, IR scanners, and belt tracking units.
  • Oversee the maintenance and documentation of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Gain hands-on experience across multiple operations and areas within our plants to build a well-rounded skill set.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot furnace and fiberizer combustion components, controls, and instruments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot plant environmental monitoring equipment, mass flow meters, weight scales, and linear transducers.
  • Create, update, and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams to support plant operations.
  • Build, install, and maintain thermocouples to ensure accurate temperature monitoring and control.
  • Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) and maintain inventories of critical equipment components to support operational efficiency.
  • Communicate process or production changes effectively to all relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and minimize disruptions.
  • Provide support for weekend, holiday, and call-in maintenance as needed to maintain plant reliability.
  • Take ownership of various projects as assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of plant operations.
  • Drives the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
  • Instill an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (required).
  • A strong academic foundation in engineering principles, with a focus on problem-solving, innovation, and technical expertise.

Experience:

  • Entry-Level Engineer: Ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to apply their knowledge and grow in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
  • No prior work experience required, but internships, co-op programs, or project-based experience in related fields are a plus.
