Pay Rate: $20.69 - $21.78/hour

Summary of Position:

 

The Production Associate is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment in the production of insulation, following the direction of the Shift Supervisor. This role involves clear communication with the Shift Supervisor, Cold End Coordinator, and Maintenance team to address equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure maximum operating efficiency and safety. The operator actively participates in plant and department safety meetings and contributes to continuous improvement efforts related to product quality, environmental standards, and health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor.
  • Communicate equipment issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed on plant safety protocols and participate in regular safety meetings.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and workplace safety.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 

 

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to observe safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and use equipment/materials properly.
  • Proficient in basic math, including mental calculations of simple equations and fractions.
  • Proficient in English (reading and writing).

This position requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and improving processes.
