Summary of Position: 

 

In this role, you will play a critical role in the fabrication of spinners that support fiberglass operations worldwide. You’ll operate and troubleshoot advanced equipment, ensure product quality, and perform maintenance tasks to keep our operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on position that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machining, balancing, slinging, electron beam (EB) drilling, grinding, and cleaning machines.
  • Perform visual and instrumental inspections of products at all stages of the process.
  • Maintain machine performance by adjusting parameters to meet quality requirements.
  • Conduct preventative and non-preventative maintenance on machines.
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical issues using tools like voltmeters or oscilloscopes.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and maintenance teams to meet deadlines and improve processes.
  • Prepare and ship packages, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in the workplace.
  • Drives the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
  • Instills an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner.

Qualifications

We’re seeking candidates who are passionate about quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have:

Education

  • Associate’s degree in MET or EET (preferred) or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • Experience with CMM systems (highly preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with SAP applications.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with electrical measuring equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, overtime, and meet physical requirements (e.g., forklift operation).
