Summary of Position:

 

This role will be critical to KINA’s development and ongoing maintenance of a robust and fully functioning M&A capability. The individual in this role will work closely with the Senior Director of Strategy & Business Development and the Executive Vice President of Strategy, Business Development, and Insights. Initially, this role will focus on setting up an M&A capability (e.g., processes and structures) that enable KINA to identify and analyze M&A opportunities. On an ongoing basis, the role will focus on maintaining a robust M&A pipeline, executing market scans, owning initial diligence on target markets/companies, and development of business cases for organic and inorganic growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Build out Knauf Insulation’s M&A capabilities and processes.
  • Develop an M&A pipeline and process to ensure robust, current pipeline.
  • Identify attractive market adjacencies and complete initial diligence on those markets and company targets within those markets.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and SMEs across the organization to collect data and information needed to answer strategic questions.
  • Develop business cases for both organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Execute on other prioritized strategy and business development initiatives independently with limited guidance.
  • Drives the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
  • Instills an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business or related field

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in a business development or M&A function or equivalent experience with business case development and market assessments
