Summary of Position: Manage the operations side for our die cut business located in Lanett, Alabama.  Process sales orders and establish daily production plans to ensure maximum use of available machine capacity, labor, tools, and equipment.  Adjust planning to current circumstances of both the production team and customer, while balancing plant efficiencies and customer satisfaction.   Coordinate and communicate plans with other departments as needed.  Notify customer regarding material ship dates. Operate in compliance with all laws, company policies, KPIs, procedures, and values to meet company standards and enhance customer experience.

• Serve as a point of contact for specialized OEM customers and sales representatives, while providing product and order information, such as in-stock availability, and delivery expectations.
• Process customer orders from outside portal into Knauf’s ERP software.
• Create, maintain, and distribute production schedules for all responsible machine(s), facilitating fulfillment of all customer orders and planned inventory stocking requirements, while maximizing efficient machine utilization
• Communicate daily with Production, Sales, and Transportation to ensure efficient and effective process flows such as schedule adherence and carrier availability.
• Communicate all production schedule or sales order changes in a timely and efficient manner to all appropriate personnel.
• Address customer complaints in a professional and timely manner, i.e., follow up on shipping errors, refer shipping problems to Transportation function, enter claims and refer those to the claims team respectively.
• Assist Manager, Supply Planning in adjusting annual production and inventory plans by monitoring performance and market fluctuations.
• Monitor and report on inventory turns for responsible product(s).
• Conduct weekly cycle counting on both raw materials and finished goods for all responsible product(s).Initiate credits/debits and returns as needed.

Education: 

·       Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, or related field preferred

·       APICS Certification or equivalent preferred

Experience:

·       Minimum three (3) years of inventory control or plant production experience

·       Minimum three (3) years of professional customer service experience or equivalent
