Summary of Position:

 

As an Information Technology Project Manager, you will provide organization, planning, direction, management, and reporting for company-wide transformation efforts, and report to the Director, PMO. You will work closely with IT and business unit teams to establish and be jointly accountable for delivering project objectives and timelines on time and within budget.  This includes managing IT projects involving complex business processes, taking these projects from idea to full implementation, and tracking and reporting on progress to various audiences domestically and internationally. Although the focus will be on IT specific projects, you will also work with other departments collaboratively, with focus on achievement of shared goals.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership
    • Develop, plan, coordinate, and direct the execution of all phases of a project’s lifecycle from concept to completion and customer acceptance.
    • Identify, manage, and escalate project and program risks and decision; uncover and monitor interdependences with active projects and programs elsewhere in the business.
    • Accountable for core project performance, program/project schedule and execution, budget commitments and spend.
    • Drive weekly IT PMO cadence by coordinating and preparing materials, facilitating the meetings, coordinating agendas so the correct topics are discussed, and tracking assigned action items.
    • Motivates project team members to ensure adequate and timely work to accomplish objectives.
    • Manages project changes to minimize cost, timing, and performance impacts, and obtains management approval of changes when required.
    • Collaborate with Director, PMO and IT along with business leadership teams in strategic planning and decision-making. Develop and monitor key project metrics and health of project portfolio, report dashboard insights to project stakeholders.
    • Delivers the objectives of the project on time, within budget tolerance, and meeting the scope requirements.
    • Drive process improvements by analyzing project data patterns and leveraging lessons learned.
    • Travel: 20-30% throughout the United States depending on the project.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Project Management certification preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Project Management
  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct Information Technology experience (e.g. Infrastructure, ERP, CRM, Data Administration)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Project Management proficiency: Knowledge in all phases of project management.  Must be able to effectively employ contemporary project management tools.
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, and Project. Advanced skills with specialized scheduling applications with emphasis Microsoft Project, SharePoint and SAP is desirable.
