Summary of Position:

 

Knauf IT has recently introduced the latest version of SAP Warehouse Management (WM). You will support all activities to launch this new technology at our new facility in Texas. Future activities will include the support and leadership to the latest WM at our existing plant locations. Another element with the implementation is the addition of RFID.  You will also support the RFID functionality from a technical perspective.  RFID is not in use anywhere within Knauf (globally) today.

Responsibilities

  • Design technical concepts, particularly for interfaces to SAP.
  • Customize, configure, and parametrize SAP EWM according to technical concepts within established timelines, budget, quality standards, and approved architecture standards.
  • Perform various project tasks including:
  • Develop technical specifications
  • Conduct unit tests
  • Manage technical deployment (transports)
  • Facilitate data migration
  • Provide operational support including:
  • (On-site) Go-live and Hypercare Support
  • Offering 2nd and 3rd level support for users/locations in the Americas
  • Hand-over to Service Desk
  • Solution-related system monitoring
  • Collaborate with solution architects, Program/Process Managers, and Operations team to:
  • Identify opportunities for technical improvements
  • Conduct incident reporting and analysis
  • Support SCM procurement processes

 

Future responsibilities will include:

  • Yard Management Rollout (with Operations).
  • Potentially expanding RFID technology to more plants or more processes.
  • Potentially expanding AGV technology, whether to more plants or more processes.
  • Supporting growth in SCM/EWM, whether acquisition or more greenfield manufacturing facilities.
  • Process improvements in all areas of EWM/RFID/SCM/AGV 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Hold a university degree in IT or Engineering, or possess profound hands-on IT knowledge/experience.

Experience:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP WM/EWM as a professional developer/customizer.
  • Experience in SAP MM/SD/PP is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Possess knowledge of ITIL Service Management.
  • Demonstrate solid experience in Supply Chain processes.
  • Exhibit a basic understanding of SAP infrastructure and the SAP development workbench.
  • Have basic knowledge of integration tools for SAP and/or Mulesoft.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to explain technical topics to people, regardless of their background
